- Soft Washing
Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, get rid of bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sanitized.
Soft washing uses just one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and doesn't wear down or harm the surface like pressure washing frequently can. Soft washing also does a lot more than power washing because it does more than simply clean your roof. The products used in the SoftWash System don't just tidy; they penetrate, sanitize, and completely remove the root of the problem.
Treating your roof with soft washing is more like insect control – the combination of safe, biodegradable chemicals guarantee that the microbes that create buildup are not just partly swept away, but removed totally.
Roof Cleaning and More
Soft washing can be carried out on a multitude of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The same bacterium that creates black streaks on roofs can also grow on:
- Vinyl Siding
- And more…
If you're looking for a method eliminate what's cultivating on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of bothersome pressure washing and use a solution that can get rid of the problem 100%.
Biodegradable, Environmentally Friendly Chemicals in SoftWash
Oftentimes, people hesitate when they hear the word "chemicals," but it's actually not such a dirty word. Everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).
The chemicals used in soft washing help break down pollutants and infestations, so they can be quickly rinsed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days after their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.
4 Reasons to Use Soft Washing
There are plenty of reasons to choose soft washing over pressure or power washing, however here are our biggest reasons:
- Alternative to power washing
Pressure washing creates erosion and strips away materials that may have been loosened by decomposition or aging. It might be suitable for some tasks and not others.
- It actually treats the infestation
Your home or business isn't only dirty – it's contaminated. Typical pressure washing simply removes the outer layer of this growth and doesn't resolve the root of the issue, leaving your surface vulnerable again not long after pressure washing is completed.
- No damage from pressure
Improperly trained or inexperienced pressure washers can cause serious damage to a roof or other surfaces, especially if it's older to begin with.
- More eco-friendly cleaning option
Pressure washers utilize from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of washing a power washer can use from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. Alternatively, soft washing only uses approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which is comprised of about 40 gallons of water.
The cleaning solution is so powerful that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than power washing, making it more sustainable for the environment and your wallet.
